Oh Hell Yeah! The Red Hot Chili Peppers Are Going On A Stadium Tour With An ABSURD Lineup Of Guests

Fuck YES! This is massively cool to see for 2 reasons. The first being that it's rare when a massive act like this goes on tour with such a ridiculous cast of opening acts. Hell, this might as well be a traveling festival with the Red Hot Chili Peppers as the main attraction the whole way through. At each show it seems to be a rotating case of any 2 of these acts- The Strokes, Beck, A$AP Rocky, HAIM, Thundercat, Anderson .Paak, and King Princess. Fucking innovation at it's finest. The Europeans are getting pretty lucky as nearly all of their shows are Thundercat with A$AP Rocky or Anderson .Paak. And then us American folks seem to be getting any mixture of the others with our specific New York/New Jersey show being The Strokes & Thundercat.

And the 2nd reason this is very cool to see is that I need another shot at a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert. They're easily a top 10 band for me much like they are for literally everyone else on the planet, and I was lucky enough to go see them a few years ago at Madison Square Garden in some pretty sweet seats thanks to our pal Robbie Fox. Was it an amazing concert? Yes. Were we close enough to a very loud rock show that you'd think it's impossible for someone to fall asleep? Yes, you'd think so...although I proved that wrong and literally FELL ASLEEP in the middle of it due to having one too many beverages. That, my friends, is a tough look at a Chili Peppers concert.

This guy needs redemption & I look forward to that very redemption at a ridiculous show on August 17th at Metlife Stadium. As Bart Scott would say...CAN'T WAIT.
